Lac du Flambeau Theme
Imagine being immersed into a world where the breathtaking beauty of Wisconsin’s north woods surrounds you and you are only a few feet from the water, this is our treasured gem we call the lakeside Trapper’s Cabin.
The towns name, “Lac du Flambeau”, is derived from the French traders and trappers who frequented the region, recognizing the band’s unique practice of nocturnal fish harvesting using torchlight.Â
The designation Lac du Flambeau reflects the tradition of catching fish at night with illuminated torches. This name, meaning “Lake of the Torches”, was attributed to the band by the French traders and trappers who explored the area and traded with local Native Tribes.

We appreciate your interest in reserving accommodations at Pokegama Lake Lodge Resort for your upcoming family vacation or corporate retreat. We use Tukkuruk as our Property Booking and Equipment rentals Management Company, and all rentals are booked through their website. Â
RESERVATION NOTE(s):Â
- All Resort rentals, require a signature agreeing to the Resort’s Policies and House Rules, before a Reservation is secured and occupancy is allowed.
- All Main Lodge Rentals, require a signed Short-Term Lease Agreement for the duration of your stay with a designated Lease Holder.
